BI/DW Project for our client in Dallas, TX.
We are in need of a Senior level Data Architect that has experience working with the Business to drive the architecture. Must have previous RETAIL industry experience.
This is a 12 month assignment (Phase I) to start on this multi year project.
Mandatory Experience:
* Retail Industry experience
* Vertica DW experience or experience with another Columnar DW: Sybase IQ, C-Store, EXASOL, or Monet DB
* Experience in Microsoft environment
* Building customer platforms, Data Marts
* Still be hands-on
Description:
Data Architect - this persons sole responsibility will be to understand the business requirements and design an extension/configuration to/of the Vertica database. This person will have to do data modeling in the architecture. This persons architecture would align the business to IT. The type of data modeling is customer data modeling. Experience modeling from a store to a customer, web to a customer, etc... They should have experience doing the work and be willing to get their hands into the delivery.
