Required technologies for Java Developers: Minimum 5-7 plus year's total experience, Core Java, spring, Hibernate, SQL, Web Services, XML, Server Side and back-end programming skills, not much UI.
Work Summary:
The candidate filling the Senior Java Developer position will be responsible for working with the Technical Leads and Application Architect in the high level systems design/ architecture and full-scale development of the Enterprise Registration system. The candidate must possess strong JQuery/JavaScript and client side skills, will perform in a web-developer role, and will also be responsible for writing technical specifications. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong UI development skills along with core Java and client server integration skills, with experience in Spring MVC, Spring Core, Hibernate, HTML, AJAX, JQUERY, JAVASCRIPT, REST API and XML. The candidate is expected to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals. Good Enterprise software experience such as security and performance considered a plus. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
· Participating in design/architecture meetings.
· Applying industry standard analysis, architecture, and development techniques, including Use Cases where appropriate, to assist in providing optimum solutions.
· Enterprise Registration Development Efforts - design, coding, testing, debugging, quality assurance review, and appropriate documentation.
· Demonstrating strong problem solving ability, logic, and analytical skills.
· Interacting with other areas within for providing automated interface points via web services and other technologies.
· Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
· Maintaining team spirit and a positive attitude.
· Performing comprehensive preliminary testing and producing all entrance criteria documentation required to promote products under development to Software Test (SQA).
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· The ideal candidate must have at least 8-10 years of progressively diverse analysis, development, and testing experience using Web and XML technologies. The person must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above. The candidates must have significant experience with technologies listed below.
· Strong Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Core, REST API, SQL, and XML is required and XSLT is preferable.
· Strong Experience in HTML, JQUERY and JAVASCRIPT programming, AJAX is mandatory.
· Extensive experience with client side JavaScript experience is required.
· Experience developing applications using multiple programming/scripting languages.
· Experience in cross browser development.
· Experience with HTML5 is a plus.
· Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.
· Experience working closely with business analysts and product owners in an iterative development environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Platform Tools: Jboss Application Server, Oracle, Eclipse
· Languages: Java, Javascript, JQuery, SQL
· Operating Systems: Unix/Linux
Education
A Bachelors degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
