Position: Release and Support Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 12+ months

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead team responsible for operating, deploying, measuring and supporting cloud products built by product teams throughout the world.
• Automation of infrastructure provisioning and product deployment is central to the success of this team
• Effectively manage team to successfully operate fully managed cloud products at high SLA's. Provide highly efficient and secure products for satisfied internal product teams so that Autodesk can delight its customers
• Responsible for Service Management, Operations Management, Capacity Management and Incident Management for infrastructure and core components supported by team
• Interface with internal groups and external vendors that provide services integral to running products
• Drive innovation and efficiency both within the Global Platform Team and with the peer teams within Autodesk 360 Operations
• Uphold policies and requirements that may be imposed on the infrastructure and platform
• Successfully pass all audits imposed on the infrastructure and platform.
• Establish and analyze metrics to ensure processes are effective and efficient
• Define high-level program strategies that help achieve overall operations goals
• Work effectively with client and internal teams located in numerous offices throughout the world

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of professional operations work and management experience for large-scale, highly trafficked customer-facing web products.
• Deep knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and operations techniques and tools for web-based products
• Knowledge of operations (ITIL, DevOps, Kanban) and software development lifecycle (Agile) processes, including current industry trends and their application
• Deep expertise in virtualization and orchestration technologies
• 3+ years operating or managing products supported on a cloud infrastructure such as AWS
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in changing, ambiguous and challenging situations
• Demonstrated presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• In-depth understanding of technology and trends related to modern cloud infrastructure, platforms and operations techniques and tools
• Ability to deal with a broad range of situations from long-term strategic thinking to high-priority escalations, while maintaining an objective viewpoint
• Clear presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience interacting and collaborating across all levels of the organization, customers, and external contacts with a professional and diplomatic demeanor
• Must have excellent communication skills combined with exceptional process oriented skills to work with product groups, business partners, technical staff, senior management, and external partners.
