Job Title:
Senior Systems Analyst
Position Summary (Roles & Responsibilities):
This request is asking for RPG developer headcount of approximately 4 conversion developers and 14 ICOMS developers. The Conversion developer will be responsible at a minimum, for analyzing conversion needs and providing code to support a successful conversion. The ICOMS developer will be responsible at a minimum, for additional design, code, unit testing that is required as part of the delivery solution.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
· High level design; application systems analysis; complex programming and interface development
· Responsible for providing custom conversion programs in RPG, CL and SQL to ICOMS software for new clients and existing clients
· Create new programs and modify existing programs for conversion to the ICOMS software package from outside databases, making the process menu driven, reusable and fully documented
· Create and modify existing programs to convert former clients from ICOMS billing package to CSG or DST billing software per client requirements
· Create programs to standardize and merge multiple client sites into the ICOMS databases, which lead to a repeatable and reusable processes
· Modifying and creating programs within established timeframes and budgets
· Ability/flexibility to work overnight, weekends and holidays – as needed
· Travel to client sites – as needed
Experience & Requirements:
· 5+ years in application development on iSeries platform; and RPG, RPGLE, and CL programming languages
· Must possess extensive knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle. Demonstrate attention to detail and quality, technical leadership skills, as well as the ability to learn applications quickly
· Experience with the Synon/CA: 2E case tool and SQL is required.
· Experience with the Turnover for iSeries change management tool and IBM iSeries basic commands (Query SQL) is a must
· Strong analytical, leadership and organizational skills are a must
· Must be able to follow directions and instructions
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills are required
· Must possess independent problem solving abilities. Ability to debug programs and track down data integrity issues (programming issue, data issue, M & P issue, etc…..)
· Ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and rapidly changing business environment
· Industry knowledge of telephony order entry, billing/rating, and/or third party application, interfacing
· Experience on Cable and/or telephony billing systems
· Technical documentation skills of programs and processes.
· Self-starter with superior follow-up skills
