Job Description:  WebMethods Developer

Assignment Name:	WebMethods Developer
Work Location:	2 Metrotech, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11201 and 280 Broadway, 10th Floor, New York, New York
Scheduled Work Hours:	9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (including 1 hour for lunch), 35 work hours per week (possible evenings and/or weekends, excluding City Holidays)
Assignment Start/End Date:	Projected Start Date – April 15, 2013
Total Estimated Assignment Hours:	400 hours

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Online Customer Service Integration project is intended both significantly improve customer service for the citizens and enable city's 311 to service more customers efficiently. The goal for this Integration project is to integration applications between 311 and the following agencies using the City's existing Data Share Platform and Infrastructure, Department of Buildings, Department of Environmental Protection, Housing Preservation and Development. The scope of services to be performed by the selected individual includes:

 

·         Work closely under the direction of the City Hall Project Manager and the DoITT Project Manager.

·         Responsible for implementing systems integrations in line with business goals, objectives and technical requirements.

·         Execute development plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

·         Modify existing programs to confirm to system changes or to make improvements in the existing program.

·         Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing changes and corrections.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.

·         A minimum of 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development for large-scale enterprise applications;

·         A minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Integration using webMethods Integration Server

·         Experience with developing applications using SAG EntireX

·         Knowledge of communicating via MQ Series or JMS queues (desirable)

·         Knowledge of ADABASE and NATURAL.

·         Solid experience in XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD);

·         Ability to plan technical architecture and develop documentation;

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills are required;

·         Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques;

·         Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance..

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

·         A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
