I have two 6-month contractor openings and would like to have them filled as soon as possible and please see the attached job description for details. Please submit any qualified resumes along with the following information.
Responsibilities:· Complete QA projects from start to finish.
· Decompose high-level business requirements into test scenarios.
· Identify priorities and the appropriate resource allocation.
· Deploy software in the Linux environment from .jar and .war files.
· Conduct root cause analysis of software and system defects.
· Document any defects discovered during testing.
· Generate test reports to document all test results.
· Effectively work well in a team environment.
· Duties may also include defining and developing software test tools, automated test tools (e.g. CA LISA, Selenium) and simulators as necessary.
Qualifications:
· A BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field required.
· 5+ years hands on experience in software development using Java and software test/quality assurance required.
· Solid UNIX/Linux experience required.
· Hands on experience with Grey Box and White Box testing required.
· Hands on experience in testing and debugging Java-based services and applications with and without UI.
· Experience in relational database and SQL required.
· Experience in testing Web Services required.
· Solid understanding of Software Configuration Management concepts and methodologies required.
· Proficiency with one of the source control tools (e.g. Subversion, CVS).
· Proficiency in a programming or scripting language.
· Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture and messaging protocols preferred.
· Hands-on knowledge of open-source tools and platforms (e.g. Eclipse, SoapUI, JMeter) preferred.
· Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements and schedules.
· Able to work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving and analytical skills are needed.
