Position:  VB6 Developer

Location: NYC, NY – Mid Town

Duration: 6+ Months

Pay Rate: $60/hr on C2C ( All Incluisve )

 

Required Skills:

·            Candidate must have solid VB6.0 client server experience. 

·            The department that we are hiring for has a very large and complex multi-tier VB6.0 windows application.

·            The candidate will primarily be supporting this application but later will be expected to participate fully in the re-write into .net. 

·            Experience in high concurrancy, high availability multiuser multitier desktop client server application using VB6, COM/COM+... 

·            Experience in coding and Modeling classes in Vb.net, c#.net and asp.net

·            Experience in VB6.0 and .net transaction processing.

·            Experience in developing Web applications with Asp.net, vb.net and c#.net.

·            Strong SQL server skills. Outer joins, group by, indexes, stored procs, ACID, isolation levels

 

Good to have:

Knowledge of web services and design patterns especially MVC architecture

AJAX, JQUERY, WCF
