Title: ETL (Data Warehouse) Test Lead

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6 months RTH

Max rate: $55/Hr on C2c

QA Lead- Determine test strategies for complex projects spanning multiple applications and/or platforms. Participate at the project team level and coordinate the work of the Quality Analysts and test resources assigned to support the test execution of their assigned projects.  Responsible for ensuring all QA work products for their projects are delivered according to procedure and schedule.  Work closely with QA Managers, Enterprise Release Management and Development to effectively manage their deliverables and interdependencies within their given release container.  

• Ensure the quality delivery of complex multi-application/platform projects

• Determine appropriate test approach to validate all functional changes and ensure current functionality continues to operate according to expectation

• Manage and monitor all QA test activities for projects assigned to ensure timely planning, execution and project and QA reporting

• Provide transparency to project quality prior to deployment

Responsibilities

• Analyze project and/or change documentation (RD, TDD, CR) to determine and document appropriate test approach for complex multi-application/platform projects 

• Identify the appropriate QA resources and document requirements

• Identify the required detailed test plans at the application level in support of the project and ensure communication to the appropriate QA SME

• Ensure that all QA work products are delivered accordingly to project test plan and schedule

• Identify and communicate risks during test planning and execution

• Monitor overall test execution and manage contingency planning for test plan variances

• Ensure test environment requirements are communicated and completed for QA test readiness. 

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with project teams, test teams and support partners

• Participate and drive test execution of application/function test cases according to test plan and schedule

• Responsible for overall project defect detection, analyze defects/defect triage, reporting and tracking; including collaboration on defect resolutions with developers/partners and identification of retest requirements 

• Responsible for metrics gathering and status reporting for project assignments

• Ensure that all posttest execution wrap up activities are conducted for projects per procedure/requirements  

• Review test artifacts and gaining approvals from stakeholders

• Build and manage collaborative testing team to deliver on time as intended

 

Qualifications\Skill Set

• B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.

• Finance

• Actuarial

• Datastage/ ETL/DW skills

• Knowledge of Quality Assurance discipline and methodology

• Experience with onshore/offshore resource model

• Experience managing co-located diverse multi-functional teams

• Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have good communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of our business.
