Need Iseries Cobol Developer/ Mainframe
Location: Belton, TX
Duration: 6 Months+CTH (prefer GC or Citizen )
Assist clients in business/technical specification gathering when requested.
Work in conjunction with other technical team members to deliver services to the client.
Function as a developer on design, programming and testing of assigned project / tasks.
Develop technical design specifications.
Code and unit test in various languages and technical platforms.
Support the system testing and client integration testing efforts as required.
Interact with other team members and clients to ensure a quality solution.
Serve as Technical team member.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Possess experience with applications within various environments and platforms
Experience should include mainframe and/or distributed architectures.
Technical proficiency in specification gathering and analysis is required
High level of confidence working through client issues
Thrive in a team environment
Dedicated to quality
Customer-oriented
Skills required: CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED
Possess some understanding of System Architecture and Data Modeling issues and approaches.
Interest in learning new technologies and approaches quickly with little or no formal training.
Possess some Insurance, Financial, or CGI product background.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of project management with basic knowledge of database development.
Interface development experience.
Self-motivated.
Self-starter.
Quick learner.
Flexible.
Focused.
HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGES
Experience Required in I Series : iSeries COBOL, Interactive system, COBOL, DB2
