Type: Contract on 1099
Remote or Onsite: On location at the Client's site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.

Description: Client, a government agency, is looking for a Business Analyst in Tallahassee, FL
 
Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Manager and Coordinator to review all application maintenance requests, including working with the customers to correctly scope/size the request;
• Coordinates with the Coordinator to draft/assess maintenance requests and to identify the correct resource(s) required and to estimate the effort associated with the requests;
• Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation;
• Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications;
• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues;
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

 
Requirements:

• Experience as a business analyst on software development/maintenance projects (5+ years);
• Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products;
• Experience with Quality Control, Testing, and/or Validation of large-scale software development projects;
• Experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software;
• Experience with Agile development practices, specifically SCRUM (Preferred).
