Job Description:
Describe the general purpose of the job or why the job exists.
The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering business requirements, translating them into application designs, and testing developed features with business teams. This
person acts as the bridge between the business teams and IT developers, understands businesses challenges, thenworks closely with the technical team to implement needed
changes. The Business Analyst designs business systems to improve company workflow, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
List the principle on-going responsibilities that are necessary to accomplish the purpose of the job.
Define business and functional requirements for Information Technology systems. Business scope includes field operations, finance & accounting, supply chain, regulatory
compliance, etc.
Provide business to technology translation to assist technical designby thedevelopment team
Develop testing plans, coordinate testing efforts with the business, execute test plans
Support deployment and training initiatives
Develop professional documents such as finding summaries, specifications, workflow processes, and other presentations
Interact with business teams and other IT staff on a regular basis.
Understand use of IT systems in business processes
Identify potential needs of IT applications and enhancements
Research and recommend technical solutions
Work with outside vendors to ensure proper creation and execution of systems
Provide project management support
Participate in change management and project governance process
Adhere to company standards and best practices
Keep current with technology systems and standards
Perform other duties, as required
