Position: Senior Security Analyst

 Location:  Foster City California

Duration:  6+ Month

Job Description:

The SOC Analyst (Level 1) will be responsible for monitoring, analysis, diagnosis, and resolution or escalation of security activity and responding to any security alerts.

Technical Responsibilities:

Hands on experience

·        Must be capable of utilizing security and monitoring tools.

·        Substantial knowledge of IT core infrastructure and cyber security components/devices preferred experience with Firewalls, Operating Systems, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems  and Network Devices.

·        Analysis of log files from a variety of sources, to include individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, or intrusion prevention logs.

·        Strong documentation and oral communication skills.

·        HP Arc Sight experience is a plus.

·        Splunk experience is a plus.

Relevant Years of Experience: 2 to 4 years

Must Have Technical Qualifications:

•        Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills - ability to de- construct problems.

•        Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as evidenced by prior work experience

Must Have Business Qualifications:  

•        Ability to communicate security concepts and practices effectively with staff at all levels of the company, both technical and non-technical

•        Understanding of IT Security basics  

•        Ability to support and work in a team environment.
