Duties & Responsibilites :	-Client is looking for a Linux Admin who has a general understanding of DNS/DHCP. -This person ideally has a Red Hat background, but experience with other distributions will be entertained. -Preferably has been responsible for the provisioning of systems, configurations, upgrades to servers, and can script in some form. -The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years' experience in Linux/Unix system administration, and should have some scripting. -Also requires general knowledge of DHCP and DNS, must be willing to do shift work. • Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems • Performs engineering design evaluations • May develop a range of products • Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures • May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0 - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job • Works under immediate supervision • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. REQUIRED SKILLS: - Linux, DHCP, DNS, light scripting experience • DHCP- Must understand the process as to how a client acquires an IP address from a DHCP server • DNS- A candidate must explain how DNS works
