User Acceptance Business Analyst/ Business Testing Consultant for Core Banking Project:
This position is needed in the project testing phase to perform field level tests, issue root cause analysis/remediation of discovered issues during the test. Root cause analysis will be done between technology and various data warehouse downstream user groups.
Testing will be on the data warehouse work-stream of the Core Banking Replacement Project (CBR), a multi-year project to replace the bank's core processing systems for loans, credit control, deposits, and foreign exchange and money market transactions with a modern integrated solution. The teams mandate is to ensure that all relevant data from the new CBR system is accurately reflected in the bank's enterprise data warehouse, and provided to downstream consumers such as Credit Portfolio Management System (CPMS), Tokyo Overseas Data Handler (ODH), Tokyo GZUES application, Tokyo RMDB, Business Objects users, risk management, Regulatory Reporting, compliance, and etc.
Main responsibilities of this Consultant position will include:
1- Responsible for the execution of test cases, test scripts and defect reporting using HP Quality Center.
2- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in groups as well as independently
3- Perform data analysis to close any issues.
4- Support end users with data content questions for all data warehouse downstream systems for example, CPMS, Regulatory Reporting, Tokyo ODH, Tokyo RMDB and Tokyo GZEUS.
5- Perform data analysis to close any issues.
6- Manage user expectations on the results by ensuring users understand any restriction in the data used.
7- Rich background and hands-on experience in data analysis
8- Assist test lead with day to day testing tasks as needed.
9- Review Business Requirements Document, Functional Design Document, Detail Design Document, and workflow documents in order to review test scripts and test cases using QA standards.
Experience/Abilities:
• Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in executing/coordinating testing, preferably with UAT experience
• Working knowledge of HP Quality Center, familiar with generating UAT testing metrics
• Experience working on large projects in the Data Warehouse space, including data and business analysis
• Articulate, excellent verbal and written communication. Detail oriented
• Some understanding of banking products and operations, including one or more of the following: loans, credit control, deposits, foreign exchange, money market.
• Strong technical competence in data analysis and database tools including SQL, MS Office and etc.
• Familiarity with testing strategies and tools
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well in groups as well as independently
