 About the Opportunity

The IAM analyst will work closely with the Identity and Access Management Director, and will be the primary interface with application owners and the Banks service provider. The IAM analyst will ensure that the IAM service is effectively integrated with departmental and Bank requirements to ensure application administrators receive appropriate training, and that the needs and requirements of all relevant stakeholders are met.

 The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst's primary focus will be to implement and administer security from a user administration perspective for the company's information systems and applications.  The IAM Analyst will align security management strategy with business goals by managing who has access to resources, services, applications, and enforcing business, privacy and security policies. The IAM Analyst is responsible for the user certification and attestation reviews and daily activities and tasks related to on-boarding, employee transfers and termination processes.

  • Ensure security access lists are well maintained
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience capturing users' identity and providing services to users based on identity
  • Strong understanding of key Identity and Access Management methodologies
  • Understanding of SSO concepts and knowledge of various methodologies to implement SSO
  • Understanding of Federation concepts and SAML based federation
  • Knowledge of mapping methodologies
  • Ability to understand an interpret LDAP protocol and concepts.
  • Strong Knowledge of ACLs
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts and methodologies concerning ID Management
  • Experience with a leading IAM/IDM tool
  • Understanding and experience utilizing user life cycle management tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with RBAC models, entitlement management and user administration
  • Customer service focused and attentive to user needs
  • Broad knowledge of authentication systems, risk analysis, threat mitigation, and security domains

 Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience in Computer Science, Business Management, or MIS required
  • Certified training in security management, risk and compliance solutions and practices. CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, CRISC, or related certification(s)
  • 1-5 years' experience with Identity and Access Management / IDM
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with current concepts in project risk assessment, metrics generation, and analysis and risk management
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge with Identity and Access Management (IAM) procedures, technologies, resources, etc.
  • Ability to maximize system to support business processes, recommend and influence business process change to maximize use of system
  • Ability to recommend and influence business process changes with regards to Information Security policies, standards, and processes (including the use of tools)
  • Contribute technical and operational expertise to project plans and documentation for all IAM operations
  • Provide R&D and consulting support to the InfoSec Team, IT, and the business as needed
  • Contribute to the technical understanding and promotion of new and existing InfoSec standards, solutions and tools throughout the bank
  • Partner with the IT & Security Governance (ISG) Team led by the Vice-President of IT & Security Governance (Information Security Officer) to support the IAM aspect of various audits
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and recommending cost-effective preventive measures to preclude recurrences
  • Implement and manage IAM policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines that will assist IT and the business in integrating security requirements in day-to-day operations
