Solid test knowledge with TFS.

Deep knowledge of Agile testing. 



 

The have to be able to facilitate conversations with end use testers and get them to open up about what they like/dislike. 

Need to know how to instruct people to write test cases.    This aspect is highly relational. 

 

 

UAT Lead Job Description

·         Responsible for the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing strategy in a large, complex software development effort, which uses a relatively immature Agile development methodology within the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). 

·         Creates a UAT testing document that ensures all staff are aware of and follow needed policies and procedures.

·         Works with the DMV business to identify and train appropriate staff for testing of new G2 software. 

·         Conducts bug triage meetings as needed to identify and prioritize bugs.  Ensures fixes are also tested by the appropriate business representatives and works with the G2 Product Owners to identify when it is appropriate for software to move from the UAT environment to the G2 Production environment

·         Monitors G2 project performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation. 

·         Brings deep knowledge of Agile testing processes and the related tool sets needed to implement highly effective Agile testing processes.

·         Recommends improvements to Agile development and support tools, processes and standards.

·         Understands technical issues, and works with development and data teams to resolve more advanced issues when necessary.

·         Creates and maintains high-quality documentation of all relevant testing specifications and procedures.

·         Diagnoses and shares root cause analysis for application, hardware, network, and O/S issues and the support tools to work/implement in the Agile development environments;

·         Understands configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement the G2 systems;

·         Teaches and transfers functional skill sets to G2 business testers to allow sustainable operation after the project period;

·         Supports automated regression test environment (and related automated testing and support tools);

·         Experience with 2012 MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) environments.

 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 

·         4 or more years of extensive programming experience; 3 or more years of QA experience responsible for all aspects of testing in a large,

·         very complex software development project;

·         2 or more years of experience participating as a tester or quality assurance agent in an Agile software development methodology. 

·         Additionally needs experience using 2012 MS TFS as the repository for testing results.
