Role & Responsibilities
7 – 10 years software development experience in object oriented technologies, at least 5 of which are in Java/J2EE and web services.
• High proficiency in object oriented design and Java/J2EE programming.
• Moderate proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Familiarity with web application deployment and configuration on Linux/Unix, Windows, or both.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues in applications and systems built on a variety of technology platforms, whether familiar or unfamiliar.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new applications, systems, technologies, and methodologies.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills as applied to technical challenges, application and system design, requirements analysis, project delivery, and overall software quality.
• Experience in adhering to SDLC processes and documentation requirements. Experience in initiating process improvements.
• Ability to follow standard change control processes.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-departmental and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Technologies (should have some of these):
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (especially JQuery), XML, JSON, JUnit, JMS
• Extensive Experience in development of SOAP or REST web services and clients.
• Extensive Experience in PL/SQL programming on Oracle 10g/11g.
• Extensive Experience of JBoss/Websphere administration.
• Expert Experience of Spring and Hibernate/JPA
• Expert Experience of Linux and at least one scripting language
• Experience developing banking applications.
