Job Description:

·  Design, develop, and maintain custom SQL queries, functions, stored procedures

·  Help design, develop, and support data stores, such as data marts and data warehouses; perform logical and physical data modeling

·  Create documentation such as design documents; Follows best practices for commenting code

·  Follows processes in place for source code maintenance and deployment

·  Create reports based for purposes of monitoring and analyzing scheduled processes status and outputs

·  Participates in peer code reviews

·  Works closely with the Manager, Database Development and Lead Developer to ensure quality of the delivery

·  Works closely with project team members such as Business Owners, Operations and other stakeholders; share knowledge and collaborate effectively with other team members 

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

·  BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

·  8 or more years' of hands-on development utilizing Microsoft SQL Server databases; willing to work with DB2

·  Experience in implementing OLAP and ETL technologies, such as SSIS, and working with large datasets 

·  Experience with T-SQL query development, including the ability to write moderately complex and efficient queries, functions, and stored procedures utilizing joined and derived tables, linked server databases, and other complex objects

·  Experience with job scripting and scheduling technologies, such as DOS batch file commands

·  Experience in database performance and query optimization techniques

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
