Skills Required:
Client is looking for Global IT Infrastructure Project Manager with PMP certification and experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders.
Duties:
Project Manager reports to the head of the Technology PMO and is responsible for the successful delivery of a global programs and projects in support of technology and infrastructure initiatives.
In pursuit of this goal, the Project Manager will need to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders; oversee and ensure quality delivery of assigned projects, manage assigned team members and their performance, collect, measure, synthesize, and communicate progress with a variety of leaders/groups.
The Project Manager has experience ensuring excellent project management practices.
The ideal candidate is familiar with Windows Servers, Unix Servers, Storage Technologies, Network Technologies, Voice Technologies, and related technology areas.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring projects are being managed and delivered excellently; driving delivery in a quality way by interfacing with stakeholders, monitoring and managing project health, and managing communications and escalation.
Overseeing and ensuring quality delivery of assigned projects within the allocated scope, schedule, and budget.Ensuring project resources are appropriately allocated and consistently making adjustments if resource loading becomes an issue.
Evaluating the benefits of a project and ensuring that the project goals are aligned with the business strategy.
Managing all significant issues and risks and escalating as necessary; early identification of potential issues and proactive management that mitigates “small” problems before they escalate.
Skills:
Has 6 to 8+ years of responsibility for project delivery.
10+ years of total related experience in project / portfolio management.
Has a solid understanding of intersection between technology Infrastructure, Technology Services, and project/delivery management.
Ability to synthesize and communicate clearly and excellently with a wide variety of people/functions.Ability to identify and diagnose problems.
Flexible, open-minded, and is comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
Good knowledge of IT infrastructure in general, with previous operational experienceLooks beneath the surface to perceive the true state of projects, anticipate risks, and problems and mitigate them.
Continuously learn from problems and improve the firm's capabilities.
Engage in constructive debate and conflict in order to arrive at better solutions.
Open-mindedly evaluate the trade-offs among options and demonstrate good judgment.
Think critically about the goals, deliverables, and plans for projects to ensure alignment to the business / project goal(s).Demonstrate mental agility and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.Take ownership of problems and goals rather than simply applying best efforts.
Certification(s): Memberships in Project Management Methodologies, e.g., PMP, PMI, PRINCE2
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field C5
