Senior Project Manager
Brooklyn NY
6 Months Contract

Face to Face (Minimum 12+ years of Experience & PMP certification )

Responsibilities :
Work closely with representatives from a variety of stakeholders and C-level managers, line employees, and IT staff and external vendors.
Manage and define requirements including business justification, triggers, processes and quality assurance checks of data exchanges between agencies and reports
Assist in the development of high-level systems design
Create flow-charts and process diagrams
Create and manage project plans, level of effort estimates
Maintain a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks and all sites involved in the project.
Document and maintain project risks and issues log
Work with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products
Create status reports and communicate project status regularly to the stakeholders
A minimum of 8 years of experience managing technology projects.                                                            
A minimum of 5 years of experience gathering and documenting requirements.                                                               
Experience documenting requirements for data sharing efforts.    

Strong working knowledge with the following technologies:
GIS tools, Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio                                                                   
Ability to develop functional requirements.                                                              
Excellent oral and written communication skills.                                                                 
Solid knowledge of data sharing standards (XML reference documents).

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS DESIRABLE:
Experience with UML models.           
Good understanding of middleware messaging and service bus technologies.
PMP certification                                                          
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or management.
