Sr. ETL DataStage – consultant.

Duration: 6+ months

 

 

v  Over 10 years of IT Experience in Software Analysis, Design, Development and Testing, Data warehousing and application development

v  Extensive experience in developing strategies for Extraction, Transformation, Loading data into Data Warehousing , Data Marts and ODS using  Ascential/IBM DataStage 8.x/7.x/6.x (Manager, Administrator, Designer and Director) application framework which facilitate parallel application development running on parallel partitions of Database and Computational nodes of SMP and MPP systems

v  Extensive experience developing and designing DataStage Server and Parallel(PX) jobs using CDC, Lookup/Join/Merge, XML, Aggregate, Datasets, hash files etc

v  Strong understanding of Data Integration, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data modeling concepts

v  Domain knowledge of Telecom, Mortgage, Finance, Pharmaceuticals, Retail and Insurance

v  Expertise in Data integration and migration

v  Extensive experience in developing shell scripts for ETL Process Automation, Data Quality checks, Exception handling,  Monitoring and Archiving, DB2 Bulk loads etc

v  Expertise in using the DB2 load utilities

v  Knowledge of System V packaging

v  Extensive experience in Data Modeling using Erwin

v  Experience with SAP, Web services and XML packs

v  Experience in integration of various data source like DB2, DB2UDB, ORACLE, SQLServer, Informix, Sybase, XML, MS Access, SAS datasets and Flat files.

v  Extensive experience on star and snowflake schema, dimensional data modeling, Fact and dimensional tables, slowly changing dimensions.

v  Experience in writing high level and low level design documents
