Position: Business Intelligence Architect

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration 3+month contract

Consulting engagement at a large organization in Healthcare service industry.
 
Upp is now seeking a BI Architect responsible for the overall software architecture, design and development of IT solutions based on business requirements documents.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop reports through Reporting Services (SSRS) from a variety of data sources including Analysis Services Cubes and relational databases, as well as develop solutions using SSIS/ETL/SSAS/SSRS technologies.
• Prepare and review requirements, functional specifications, technical designs and implementation documentation.
• Collaborate with business users and SMEs to ensure the creation of production BI designs and implementations satisfied the analytics and reporting needs.
• Analyze, translate and develop business requirements into a design of logical and physical data model needed to support both reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
• Work closely with our business stakeholders and other software and IT team members to develop and enhance reporting capabilities and solutions using Microsoft technologies.

 

EXPERIENCE:

• Must have provided BI Solutions in an Architect role using different tools.
• Extensive experience in SQL and MS SQL Server 2008/2012 SSIS/ETL, SSAS and in SSRS report design and implementation.
• Experience in ETL SSIS development, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions with SSAS and SSRS reporting experience all based off intricate understanding of business process and measures.
• Strong skills in SQL query development with working knowledge of Report Model (smdl), as well as experience with ad-hoc reporting design and tools.
• Experience developing software in an Agile development environment is a plus.
