Position 1:
Title: HADOOP Sr. Program Lead Consultant
Location: Western side of Minneapolis
Duration: 6-9 months, likely extensions
Pay: DOE
Required:
15+ years overall software development and consulting experience with a success track record.
Deep knowledge in current trends in areas of Big Data, Data Analytics and machine data integration.
3+ years of experience leading complex distributed Cloud/SOA and Big Data projects.
Strong experience with Hadoop platform, including underlying metadata, data storage and tools.
Hands-on experience in at least one major vendor specific Hadoop platform (preferably GreenPlum or Cloudera), more is preferred.
Experience and knowledge in at least one NoSQL DB (MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie and Mahout).
Knowledge in data mining related to DWH and Data Marts, as well as libraries.
Experience in data modeling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Hands-on experience of integration platforms and tools and processes – including configuration management, build and testing
Experience in areas of database architecture, design and performance enhancements (SQL tuning for performance).
Demonstrated core development competence of successful large data projects in automotive or telecom sector.
Experience with big data in healthcare, application server platforms and enterprise middleware, system management and security systems
Position 2:
Title: HADOOP Business Analyst
Location: Western side of Minneapolis
Duration: 6-9 months, likely extensions
Pay: DOE
Qualifications:
One to three years of experience in IT business analysis and experience with functional design and documentation.
One to three years experience in the data management and/or governance domain.
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry vertical.
Understanding of key data management technologies SQL, business intelligence, relational databases, data warehousing, analytics, etc.
Solid understanding of metadata.
Understanding of reference data and experience with at least one reference data management solution is desired, but not required
Hands-on experience with data modeling tools.
Experience/understanding of data quality challenges, technologies, and approaches to management.
Exposure to business analytics and data mining is a plus.
Exposure and/or development experience with BI tools is a plus.
Exposure and/or development experience with ETL tools is a plus.
Understanding of emerging data persistence and processing paradigms, including Hadoop and other NoSQL databases.
Preferred:

Title: HADOOP Developer
Location: Western side of Minneapolis
Duration: 6-9 months, likely extensions
Pay: DOE
Required:
Formulate systems scope and objectives by devising procedures to solve technical problems using information systems.
Perform complex system technical design work. Provide strategic technical direction.
Prepare detailed specifications from which programmers write, design, code, test and debug the most complex programs.
Guide the efforts of co-workers and contract personnel in accomplishing assigned tasks.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills by defining and presenting technical systems solutions for identified technical issues.
Document activities from design to completion to assist future analysts in understanding work solutions.
Perform technical reviews with Project Leaders (Sr. Project Consultants/Programmer Analysts) to maintain consistent technical direction and minimize system impact on projects.
Take complex technical ideas and bring them to a high-level to encourage understanding at all levels.
Deliver a complete solution to ensure thorough understanding of the system (documentation, procedures, training, escalation, error process, etc.).
Recognize a request as being within or out of scope and communicates to all involved.
Proactively escalates to the next level of management and provides recommendation from available options.
Engage others with related code/products/etc. to work together to understand root cause, ripple effects, and an integrated solution.
Provide input into capacity plans; able to assist with load tests.
Write efficient, reusable and stable code for complex application logic.
Perform complex code reviews.
Set high standards of performance for others. Hold others to the standards and help them achieve these standards, if necessary.
Clearly define expected outcome for the initiative and organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

6-8 years programming experience preferred.
Competent in all aspects of programming and design with minimal direction.
Experience with Cognos or other BI tools a plus.
Experience with Active Data Warehousing a plus.
Experience with Hadoop programming. Experience with tools such as MapReduce, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie and Mahout a plus.
Rarely requires guidance, even on most complex systems programming
