Role: Mechanical Design Engineer (Electromechanical product Design, Unigraphics, Medical devices)

Duration: 6 Months plus

Work location: Tarrytown, NY 10591

Experience Level: 5-10 years.

Educational qualification (if must): Mechanical Engineering /Biomedical Engineering.

Mandatory Domain: Mechanical Engineering & Medical Device.

"Key Words " to search: Mechanical System design, Invitro medical device design, Electromechanical product Design.

 

Mandatory Skills:

§  Mechanical Engineering background. (Mandatory)

§  Electromechanical product Design experience. (Mandatory)

§  Experience with leading MCAD software (NX/ Unigraphics/ UG-NX) tool. (Mandatory)

§  Experience with Precision Mechanism Design. (Mandatory)

§  Should have BS/MS degree in Mechanical OR Equivalent.

 

 

Required experience:

§  Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing - B.E / B.Tech / B.S / M.E / M. Tech / M.S

§  3+ years' experience in Medical product design environment

§  5+ years' experience in mechanical product development and engineering with an emphasis on mechanical system design including the areas of machine design, precision mechanism design and development of drive systems. (Mandatory)

§  Experience with precision drive mechanisms, sensor technologies, heat transfer, electronics packaging and molded/casted part design is highly desirable. (Mandatory)

§  Ability to apply engineering principles and theory to develop safe, innovative and robust medical products.

§  Core knowledge of formal DFMA and FMEA principles.

§  Core knowledge of structural design and analysis.

§  Proficiency with leading MCAD software (NX/Unigraphics) tools is a must. (Mandatory)

§  Understanding and proven practical application of ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance and drawing standards.

§  Experience with performing tolerance analysis of complex mechanical systems.

 

Must Have Skills:

·          Electro mechanical design – New Product Development

·         Precision Mechanism design

·         Drive system design

·         Hands on experience in using Unigraphics / NX

·         Tolerance Analysis

·         DFMA

·         DFMEA
