Position: Cognos Administrator
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities include:
This role is responsible for installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of business-critical LINUX-Based Cognos BI installs in a 24x7 production environment accessed from multiple geographies.
Requirements include:
4+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.
Experience with complex multi-server environments.
Knowledge in Administration of Cognos Business Intelligence Suite.
Knowledge of installation and configuration of Cognos BI on Linux.
Knowledge of Cognos Framework Managerusage, Transformer, Cube Designer, and Cognos Studios for developing and maintaining Cubes, Queries, and Reports.
Optional:
Experience withCognos SDK, SPSS, TM1, Cognos tools like Motio and Genware and Tableau.
Experience with Cognos customizations.
Experience in building metrics for managing the Cognos environment using metrics built from the logs or using a software product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform backups, upgrades, set up security roles and users, and troubleshoot by understanding the various log messages. Monitor systems capacity and performance.
Under general direction, devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering Cognos administration and/or cube and report generation and consumption.Create and maintain installation documentation and architectural diagrams
Transport package deployments to qa and prod environments.
Coordinate with business user teams for identification and resolution of functionality issues. Solve PMR's
Research/analyze Cognos administrative functions and Cube and report generation to maintain and increase performance. Monitor program execution for expected performance.
Install and maintain upgrades, patches, and hot fixes for Cognos on Linux platform.
Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for Cognos applications.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Cognos.
Identify, escalate and document production impact issues for the environment for business notification Experience working in the Cognos 10.2.x environment.
